AmeriCorps VISTA – Mayor’s Initiative 2019-2020 Cohort

Location: City of Birmingham – City Hall

We are currently accepting applications for Mayor’s Initiative AmeriCorps VISTA 2019- 2020 service year. Ideal candidates will provide aid in one of the following focus areas: Education, Economic Opportunity, Healthy Futures, Opioid Research, Veteran Resourcing, and Neighborhood Revitalization. Members will research and provide needed educational and capacity-building opportunities to nonprofit partners, city departments, and social service agencies to better serve low income communities. Members will also collaborate with assigned department to establish, reevaluate, strengthen and/or advance municipal initiatives, efforts and programing that affect vulnerable demographics in the City of Birmingham.
