Jefferson County Circuit Court

General administrative and clerical work in a court environment, under the direct supervision of a circuit judge. The attendant is responsible for maintaining appropriate decorum and order within the courtroom during hearings and trials, and for ensuring that jurors remain isolated from outside sources of influence. The attendant supervises courtroom operations and ensures that general supplies are provided. Other duties include monitoring jurors, acting as a liaison between the judge and the court system, and providing clerical assistance to the judge in open court, in addition to other duties as directed. Must have the ability to remain calm and use judgment in stressful and difficult situations. Must be able to maintain confidentiality.

Must be a high school graduate or have the GED equivalancy.

This is a full-time position with great state benefits and paid holidays. Base salary is around $26,000.00 and may be increased if the employee has prior experience or an advanced degree.
