Judge Brendette Brown Green is accepting applications for a paid judicial clerkship position within the 10th Judicial Circuit Court – Civil Division. This is a full-time position from 8:30am-5:00pm Monday through Friday. The Clerk will receive extensive exposure to jury trials, bench trials, and motion hearings; as well as the opportunity to network with prominent leaders within the 10th Judicial Circuit.
Job responsibilities will include the following:
- Answering phones
- Checking the mail daily/mailing out court notices
- Keeping track of all delivered exhibits and packages
- Conducting legal research and drafting legal memorandums
- Verifying citations
- Drafting orders
- Outlook calendar
- Motion queue
- Taking notes during all court proceedings
Qualifications:
- Must have a J.D. or in pursuit of a Juris Doctor degree (2L and above)
- Must have excellent legal research and writing skills
- Must be professional and have a pleasant demeanor
- Previous legal experience is not necessary, but preferred
