Circuit Civil Judge Javan Patton is accepting resumes from recent graduates interested in a law clerk position. Law Clerks assist in all aspects of the Jefferson County Court system.
Duties consist of:
-assisting with administrative duties as needed;
-assisting with jury and nonjury trials;
-legal research and writing;
-maintaining detailed notes regarding meetings and hearings.

Qualifications: Admission (or pending admission) to the Alabama State Bar, excellent legal research and writing skills, professional interpersonal skills, proficient computer skills, internet research, word processing skills, and the ability to manage a large number of cases and administrative responsibilities. This is at least a one year full-time position. The entry level salary (approximately $25,000.) is determined by the Administrative Office of Courts plus benefits.
