Quality Legal Education at an Affordable Price

Birmingham School of Law is proud to be a law school for students who might not have been able to pursue a traditional legal education in the past. We offer affordable tuition rates along with weeknight and Saturday classes. Students can earn a Juris Doctor at BSL and, upon passing the state bar examination, are eligible to practice law in Alabama.

The majority of Birmingham School of Law’s current student body are employed full time, but that doesn’t stop them from pursuing their dream of becoming an attorney. Classes are held year-round during fall, spring, and summer terms.

Our Students

We have a diverse student body with individuals from across the state with varying educational backgrounds. Among our approximately 400 current students, many different undergraduate degrees are represented; there is no “correct” pre-law major.

Birmingham School of Law students are encouraged to join our student associations that include the Judge Hugh Locke Honor Society, Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity, the National Black Law Students Association, and Birmingham School of Law Women’s Association. Membership in these associations allows our students to enhance their law school experience by forming partnerships, pursuing networking opportunities, and being exposed to advanced learning opportunities.
