Associate Attorney – Part Time

Russo, White & Keller, PC is seeking a part-time Associate Attorney. The attorney’s primary role will be to attend hearings, meet with clients, motion practice, oral arguments, assist in filing and post-filing workloads, discovery, researching legal issues, writing briefs and memos, and otherwise practicing law.
To be considered for this position, all candidates must be licensed to practice law in Alabama and be willing to travel to hearings in both federal and state courts in Birmingham, Tuscaloosa, Anniston and surrounding counties. The part-time Associate Attorney will be located in Birmingham, AL, but may be required to travel to other offices. The scheduled days will be Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Experience:
- None Required; prior experience in bankruptcy, criminal, divorce/family law, and civil litigation is welcomed but is not required.
- Recent law graduates are also welcome to apply.

- Candidates must submit the following: 1) resume describing your experience, 2) a short cover letter detailing what makes you unique from other applicants, 3) list of three (3) references, and 4) at least one (1) in-person interview.
- Interest in bankruptcy, criminal, divorce/family law, and civil litigation is essential.
- Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Alabama.
- Licensed and in good standing to practice law in the Northern District of Alabama.
Qualifications:
- Ability to think quickly, strategically, and proactively
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, drafting, and communication skills
- Ability to establish relationships with other attorneys
- Ability to build and maintain relationships and collaborative efforts
- Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Alabama
- Knowledge of bankruptcy, criminal law, divorce/family law and the Rules of Civil Procedure (federal and state) is preferred, but not required
