What Is the Huntsville Pilot Program?

Due to limited seating, we encourage interested students to view our application requirements and enroll as soon as possible for the Fall 2024 term. The deadline for enrollment is July 1, 2024.

Why Attend Birmingham School of Law?
The traditional route to law school isn’t for everyone, but that doesn’t put it out of reach. Birmingham School of Law was established in 1915 to serve men and women who desired to pursue a law degree but didn’t have the means to do so. Fast forward over a hundred years later, and our commitment to excellence and high-quality legal education has produced prominent alumni such as Alexander Shunnarah and Richard Shelby. But what else makes BSOL the right place for you?
Accessible and Affordable
Whether you’re years into your career, with a family, or a young adult with a limited income, there are many factors that can contribute to the traditional law school route being too inconvenient. BSOL puts the Juris Doctorate degree you need within reach—despite other personal and professional commitments—with affordable tuition rates and two locations to attend classes.
Convenient Class Schedules
Many of our students either have a full-time career, a family to take care of, or both! BSOL enables students to pursue their legal education while managing other responsibilities with night and weekend courses year-round. Attend classes in Birmingham Monday–Friday 6 p.m.–8:45 p.m. or all day Saturdays from 9 a.m.–6:15 p.m. or in Huntsville Monday–Wednesday 6 p.m.–8:45 p.m only starting in the Fall and only for the first two terms of the program.
Quality, Legacy, & Community
Birmingham School of Law has consistently provided high-quality legal education through practicing attorneys and judges for over a century. Our faculty and staff provide practical expertise that bridges the gap between theory and application, enhances our students’ understanding of the legal profession, and equips our students to practice law in the real world. Furthermore, our students experience a special sense of community support due to the unique educational experience they share.
