A Modern Campus Rooted in History
Birmingham School of Law relocated to the Judge Hugh A. Locke Building in early 2014. This three-story, 42,000-square-foot facility was renovated in 2013 and maintains the historic character of its original 1920s architecture.
Inside, the foyer showcases a reproduction of the building’s original tile, adding to the historic atmosphere. The law library and adjacent computer lab offer quiet, fully equipped study environments ideal for research, coursework, and exam preparation.
Students benefit from a mock courtroom and two dedicated conference rooms, perfect for trial practice and mock trial competitions. A welcoming student lounge and rooftop terrace, featuring stunning city views, provide spaces to relax, collaborate, or prepare between classes.
