Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Medical Records Review Paralegal to join our team. In this vital role, you will review and log medical records, ensuring all documentation complies with legal standards for the case. Responsibilities
- Organize, file, and retrieve patient medical records efficiently within electronic health record (EHR) and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Ensure all medical documentation, including diagnoses, and procedures, is accurately entered and maintained.
- Review medical records for completeness and accuracy, verifying that all necessary information is properly documented for billing and legal purposes.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation discrepancies or missing information to ensure precise recordkeeping.
Requirements
- Prior experience in medical records review and interpretation.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to accurately interpret records.
- Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining high levels of accuracy.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure error-free records management.
- Ability to prioritize tasks independently while working collaboratively within a team environment.
