Our internship program offers law students the chance to gain first-hand knowledge and insight the criminal justice system in the State of Alabama including District, Circuit, and Municipal Courts. Interns will have the opportunity to:
- Work closely with experienced attorneys on real cases
- Interface daily with judges, defense attorneys, paralegals, probation officers and bailiffs
- Conduct legal research and assisting with evidence presentation
- Attend court proceedings and client meetings
- Participate in strategy sessions and case evaluations
- Develop professional skills through mentorship and feedback
While our program is unable to offer compensation, participants will gain invaluable experience and academic credit. Our goal is to give students a thorough and well-rounded view into their chosen career path and develop talent that could eventually lead to employment with the Mobile County District Attorney’s Office.
