Qualifications
- General knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, show initiative, and remains professional throughout all interactions
- Ability to prioritize and organize projects
- Ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast paced environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; client service focused
- Strong attention to detail; ability to follow detailed project instructions
- High regard for confidentiality
- Reliable transportation, current driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance
- Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent
Responsibilities
- Pick up, sort, and distribute mail and packages
- Out of office deliveries and pick ups as needed by attorneys/staff
- Interoffice delivery & pick up
- Fill in for receptionist lunches and other times as needed.
- Send files to offsite storage facility and retrieve files as needed; help maintain in-office filing systems
- File documents with various courts, mainly Jefferson & Shelby County but may need to travel further at times
- Daily check on office copier equipment for paper, toner, etc.
- Prepare legal documents for scanning; photocopy and scan legal documents
- Assist with coordination, set up, and clean-up of conference rooms, common areas, and office events
- Pick up meals, deliver and set up for firm meetings and office events
- Daily inventory of office supplies; refill as needed.
- Daily inventory of kitchen supplies; ordering and pick up of kitchen supplies as needed. Restocking refrigerators and supplies daily.
- Other responsibilities as assigned
